C&D in those days was a great read, or maybe I was more easily impressed in those days. That was the first comparison test with the twin turbo z that I had read, and convinced me that I was going to get one. In the article, the z trumped the vette in all the driveability categories, and was equal or close in all the performance categories. The vette guys flipped out the next month as C&D rated the z better in the comparison, but we all knew what the truth was/is. I give GM credit, as I believe they used these types of comparisons for motivation making the C5 and C6, which are tons better in a lot of ways than the C4 ever could be. You have to remember the comparison was between a car designed in the early 80s (C4) versus a car designed in the late 80s (Z32)......however, I still lust after the z, and could give a rats ass about that fiberglass chunk o shit.
